Nan Cooke Carpenter papers, circa 1930-1989.

The collection consists of materials reflecting Dr. Carpenter's interests, including her musical compositions and an unfinished translation of a Renaissance musical treatise. Dr. Carpenter left her complete papers to the Louisa County Library Foundation in Louisa, Virginia, the county of her birth. The materials in UGA 05-006 were transferred to UGA after scanning.
